Why would that exhaust ruin the car? You dropped 5 grandones to find it too loud... Yet never put it on the car??

don't know about others, but I wouldn't put a $500 exhaust on my truck. Akarapovic is always my first choice

for sure. just like the 250 dollar h&r spring i put on the other week, get it off 2 weeks after. may run good for a civic, but for 110K cars? i would say 2k-3k minmum spending on every each of the components you wanna put on.

So you're saying that if Megan charged $2k for the same exhaust, you would buy it? Cause that's how companies pick their price points.

The louder the exhaust the less that's in the muffler, the M3 guys are cutting open there stock mufflers altering the internals for $200 dollars.

If it was me I would take my oem muffler to a exhaust shop and ask them to weave there magic on it (thats short for cut it open and burn some bigger holes in the internal vents) to allow more exhaust gas to pass thru which will make it a little louder.

Its on another forum, stated he bought a Eisselmann Race exhaust for $5000 and had it for 2 weeks, took it off beacause it was to loud.

I think this is the best way to go for a quick fix then down the line grab a nice exhaust possibly used or when they lower the BMW tax.

So, basically no one has stated a testimonial on the Megan muffler. Given it is an axle back system, 500 does not not sound like a ridiculously low price. Has anyone bought a Megan exhaust here, ever?

I ordered the Megan Racing axle-back. I should have it done next week and I'll post up a review. My intentions were to have the stock muffler eliminated or gutted and have new tips fitted to eliminate the valves, but for the price ($330), the Megan will be much quicker (cut off, weld on) and it leaves my stock muffler intact in case I don't like it.

I'm not looking for loud, but I am expecting it to put out a little extra sound. What I am interested in is the more compact size, better looking tips and elimination of the stock exhaust valves.

I know that most scoff at putting a $300 exhaust on a high end vehicle, but it is ridiculous to spend $5K to get the same effect. Don't get me wrong, I am an Akrapovic fanboy when it comes to my bikes, and their fit and finish is second to none, but come on! For $5K, I put a blower to my last ride which added 100HP and it ran 11s. The Akra cat-back nets negligible power increases and makes a little more noise.

If you do get the exhaust, put up a vid of the sound.

Where did you pay 300 for the Megan? It is about 500 from what I have seen?

Talking down Hondas doesn't validate BMW engineering decisions.
