The time has come to buy my first SUV, after looking throught lots of them. I came to the X5.

The new ML looks ugly and is expensive, the previous ML is too old allready.
Previous Cayennes look good, but dont have so many extras and are only available in petrol.
Dont like Toyota Land Cruisers, they are too big.

I need an SUV mostly for city driving anyway, mostly for the winders as we have lots of snow here.

I have found a nice X5 which I like, its a 2008, 3litre diesel SD (210kw), with rear entertainment and 3rd row seat.
As I understood it's better to go with the 3rd row seat version, as it has self-leveling suspension.

Here is the extras list:

217 active steering.
0323 soft-close- automatic doors.
03AG reversing camera.
0402 panoram glass.
04UB 3rd seat row.
0502 headlight cleaning system.
0522 Xenon light.
0524 adaptive headlights.
06ff DVD-system in rear compartment.
01CB CO2 equipment.
0220 self-levelling suspension.
0226 sports suspension settings.
0230 extra package, EU-speciifc.
0255 sports lether steering wheel.
02LE BMW LA wheel Y-spoke 214.
02PA wheel bolt locks.
0302 alarm system.
0320 deleted, model lettering.
0328 footplate. Aluminium.
0330 SPORTS PACKAGE.
0358 climate comfort windscreen.
0423 floor mats velours.
0428 warning triangle and first aid kit.
0430 interior/ outside mirror with auto dip.
0431 interior mirror with atomatic-dip.
0441 smoker package.
0456 comfort seat with memory.
0488 lumbar support , driver and passenger.
04AD interior trim strips, brushed aluminium.
04NC auxiliary heating/ ventilation.
0508 park distance Control (PDC) .
0521 rain sensor.
0534 automatic air conditioning.
0544 cruise control with brake function.
0548 kilometre speedo.
0563light package.
0609 navigation system professional.
0610 head-up display.
0694 provisions for bmw 6 CD changer.
0698 area-code 2 for DVD.
0760 high gloss shadow line.
0761 individual sunhade glazing.
0775 headlining anthracite.
0840 high speed synchronisation.
0863 dealer list europe.
0877 omission of non-combined operation.
08SP control unit COP.
0925 dispatch protection pack.

As the roads are not that good in my country, I have heard that the X5 has very hard suspension. Because of which the interior starts to rattle, there are also problems with the rear trunk door and issues with the panoramic roof.

After reading for couple of days, I found out that active steering is a good feature and makes a big difference in steering, this model does not have active steering. Any comments?
This model has the original sound system as I see from the options list, how is it compared to the PRO LOGIC7 ?

08, how many miles? Warranty? Cpo? Is it the color you want?

If the price is good then active steering is not so important. These cars are great fun. I drove a 35d and it was pretty fun with the sport package. All x5 look great with the 20 inch wheels. Is that what this car has?

Hey guys, cars are more expensive in the EAU. Not only that, most are standard shift due to fuel costs. E35,000 is about $45,000 US. A new one would be about $90-100k and not even a 3M. We are lucky we live in the good ole USA.
