A/C out. Need a new A/C Compressor! Best place to buy parts?

Long story short, ac doesn’t blow cold air on my 2012 x5 35i. RPMs doesn’t rise when I turn on the air. I brought it into the local shop and they claimed that the AC compressor clutch isn’t engaging. We tried charging and still nothing. We tried putting power to the compressor but still doesn’t work. They are claiming that I’ll need a compressor, expansion valve, and drier.

I was hoping it needed just a recharge but. I guess I’ll need to choke up over $1k to replace those items and get it installed.

I’ve look at FCPEuro but they seem to be sold out of the ac compressors. What are some other places that you’ll recommend getting these parts? Are there certain brands to stay away from?

$300 bucks OE product to replace ... obvious failed compressor.

Whats the reason for replacing the valve and drier along with the compressor is it confirmed they are bad?

Around $1k installed is reasonable to replace at an indy shop given the work involved with working on AC and the tools required.
