Sadly probably a lot.
The rear glass is typically the most expensive piece of glass on the car. Mainly because it’s low demand and the defroster and sometimes antennas built in. Example Wife’s Mini Cooper windshield at safelite oem glass is 400, rear window which was busted cost us 600. I’d expect if you don’t get it done in the ghetto where an x5 windshield is 150 installed you’d be looking at 600 |

You can pick one up on eBay if insurance turns out to be a less convenient option

It depends on your insurance policy, I had to replace mine couple of months ago due to ice hit, I ended up paying $100 deductible but that's all.
Wondering if you glass caved in completely (probably did as they had to get in the car) my didn't, first it was tinted (still planing to re tint that window) and second natural cause rather than break in...

It makes huge difference, I drove the car after my window got damaged for couple more days before I could get in to the shop for replacement.
If the glass would cave in, I wouldn't be able to do so...

Rear window glass alone is listed for $776 on Real OEM. Part number: 51317152767
Plus installation. It's like cracking your windshield
