Shawn, you are quite right about re-sizing the FA window; I can now see the button.

Of course, now there's another question: Can I use FA editing to add 6AL (BMW Live) as a new SALAPA element or does this not do anything that I can't accomplish through regular coding by editing the NBT module? Surely it couldn't be that easy?!

You can add 6AL and VO Code NBT or you can FDL Code each parameter in NBT required for 6AL. The choice is yours. VO Coding is easiest, but it also wipes out any previous coding.

That said, either way, 6AL may not work for you based on your VIN. But, you can try.

It applies only to the ECU that you VO Code.

So [1777] 6AL_BMW_LIVE is showing up in my FA file, saved to car. All fine.
Shut down the car. Waited a minute. Re-started. Nothing new under ConnectedDrive menu.
I then used Halsifer's "My F30/F32 Cheat Sheet" and did:
Connected_Drive: activ
Online_Browser_Live: activ
Online_Browser: nur_bmw_internet_aktiv (also later tried beide...)
Online_Services: nicht_aktiv
Online_Services_GLS: nicht_aktiv
DUN_Profile: aktiv
PAN_Profile: aktiv
DataComm_CSIM: Aktiv (although the guide says BT_Data_Service, I think this is now replaced by DataComm_CSIM, yes?)

All changes accepted but still no browser on iDrive. By the way, iDrive is allowing me to tether to the internet via my smartphone (Galaxy S5) and that side seems to work because it allows me to update BMW Services under the ConnectedDrive menu, Options and says it is transferring data and confirms completion.

Anyone have any idea why BMW Live still seems to be unavailable?

Also, is there any easy way to figure out what I really need to know in this thread without having to go through 300+ pages? i.e. Are there more features hidden in random pages of the thread that are not listed on the cheat sheet?

I'm looking for two specific things if they exist:

1) Turn off fog lights for cornering. (I have the dynamic headlights if that makes a difference)

2) A/C Condenser remember last setting. i.e. Don't turn the A/C on without the normal input. You're probably aware that the A/C will sometimes come on without being commanded to do so and without turning on the A/C light on the dash.
