Towing with 22" wheels and 25 series tires???

Has anybody done this? Results. With 25 series tires, I asume this is not recommended.

id say its fine as long as you dont exceed the load rating of the tire. i towed some big loads the past few yrs with the 24s i had on my tahoe and i will be towing on my 315/25/23's on the x5, but just a crotch rocket on an aluminum utility trailer, so its a very light load...

tires were 295/35/24 nitto 420s, but more important is the load rating, it was 110 if i remember correctly. stock x5 20s was 106 i believe... find out your tongue weight and just make sure you total weight is under the load index of the tires. does you x have self leveling? i think that may be important to evenly distribute the load as well. my 23's have a index of 102, so i wont be towing anything heavy. my bike and trailer are so light i can move it around the garage by hand when i need to...

Thanks for your input! Yes my X had self leveling. I will have to lok into the load rating of the tires. It looks like I am leaning towwards switching out the rears when I need to tow the boat to the gas station.
