IPOD for 35i glove box

Added the ipod adapter to the car after the disappointing Sirus radio performance. Ordering the premium sound probably the better option but my dealer didn't know much, tought I only needed a cable. With the regular sound the ipod cable is in the glove box, not the center console, works through the cd changer channel, so no cd changer. IPOD compatibility is tricky, new generations don't charge and some older listed one don't work due to IPOD software upgrades I think. The IPOD Touch 1st gen works well, refurbs on sale at the Apple store, 32 gb for $280, get the $10 upgrade software to v3, lots of extras and internet if within WiFi. Nice addition to the car. Love my X6, great to be excited about a car again.
