NYC driving

If you are a car enthusiast and you care about you car, driving in NYC sucks. Driving, parking and everything that has anything to do with those two things in NYC is stressful to the point that it ruins your day every time you drive. Basically you need to have your eyes everywhere and anticipate other drivers mistakes. I don't want to offend anyone but I grew up in Europe and I can tell that 90% of people in this country(all kinds not only Americans) can't drive for s**t or follow simple rules.

went to downtown montreal the other day feels the exact same way. never gonna go there with my x6m again

I drive almost daily in manhattan, I'm used to the crappy roads. I also know which ones to avoid, FDR drive towards the north and 2nd ave by the 80's are horrible.

I can definetelly agree with OP
NYC is just not the place you would enjoy driving in
After 10 yrs of commuting from Brooklyn to upper west side of Manhattan, you just become numb
You do learn to dodge yellow-taxi bullets and other dumb drivers, but it's never a pleasure driving.
Forget the parking... You get your car destroyed on the streets in no time

lol! did I say I hate NYC with a passion, more so Brooklyn and bronx, and in Queens, your car can ever barely go more than 5mph on the LIE so......

I drove up there last week and it sucked. It made Maryland roads look like the Autobahn. I thought I bent a rim when I was on my way back home just getting onto
95 leaving New York. That will be the last trip the X makes it up there, at least on 22's.

Driving from CT to NY(queens/i95) is the worst. So many potholes , I am lucky my rims have no damages.
