I'm interested but do you have any idea of what it costs to fix front left strut? Some of the guys on this string are saying it would be difficult to get kw to fix....

It's not difficult to get them to fix it since it's already off the car. You just send them the strut after contacting them about it, they'll replace/rebuild it and send back. I think it's around 400-500 to fix.

I have to go to Belltech on Tues and will get you a price and how long it will take for the repair. Belltech/KW suspension is located 15 mins from my work. I had KW's on my M3 and TBSS and loved them. I will post when i get the info.

Have you always had coilovers on your x5m or did you try springs first? If you did have springs, how does it compare? I have hr springs 1.2 drop with conservative drop on back and not super happy on bumps. Most guys here that have kw swear by them. Just curious.

I shot kw an email about the repair/replace of the strut. Will get back to you after they do. Are all the other struts good to your knowledge? Thanks.

To my knowledge, the rest are good. After taking them off and cleaning them up, it's clear that the front left is blown but the others aren't. The left one moves in and out easily, but it's very tough to move the others in and out.

To add to this, I've never been in an x5m with springs so I can't speak to the ride quality. However, after installing new coilovers, it's like riding on a cushion that turns stiff when it needs to. Worth the money!

GREAT! For the one KWV3 strut rebuild it would be 180.00. that would include the full rebuild. For the strut to leak the tech said that the ride height was either set to low or to high. It will take 10-15 days for the repair. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know what the pin connectors for the KW V3 EDC delete look like, part #, and if I can pick up somewhere besides KW? Apparently, they don't sell separately and want me to buy a new EDC kit just so I can get the pin connectors. It seems like I should be able to pick these up at some electronics store or site...

Thanks in advance.

They're adjustable coilovers...how can it be too low if threading itself allows it do so? $3300 new for something that breaks with 3-4 months? I've been running $950 BC Racing coilovers on my E53 for two years now, two hard driving Bimmerfest trips and not a single issue..what happened to getting what you pay for, KW?
