Up for sale is my wife's 2010 BMW X5M. We are selling it to make room for her 2014 RR Supercharged Sport that is due to arrive in 3 weeks. I did not like the offer they gave me on trade-in.

We bought it as a BMW CPO vehicle from Motorwerks BMW in Minneapolis. It has the CPO warranty till 8/31/2015 or 100,000 miles which is fully transferable to the new owner.

It currently has 48,500 miles.

It is in amazing condition in and out. My wife is a physician and parks it in a heated garage at work and home. We have no children... yet, and we are non smokers. It is washed weekly and detailed every 3 months.

I have all the service records, manuals, keys, rear cargo cover, carfax.

It also comes with the regular floor mats and all weather mats. I also have a weathertech cargo mat that goes with the car.

It has the upgraded white LED Halos and M emblems on the side and front of the vehicle. No other modifications.

At 42,000 miles it had new Bridgestone Run Flats put on.

At 43,000 miles it received new pads and rotors.

50,000 mile service and oil/filter change performed last month.

It needs nothing but a new owner.

We do have it financed with BMW financial. They would consider transferring the loan to a credit worthy buyer. If interested, we can go through the details.

I am asking $51,900 or best reasonable offer. I would love to keep it but we have five other cars.

19 months of CPO warranty left. You can extend warranty 1 year through any BMW dealership!

The winning bidder is from Costa Rica and wants to make up his own rules for the auction... smelled like a scam so I stopped communication.

I am thinking of keeping the X5M for myself and selling my Audi.

Don't be so sure. I sold a car to a sheik in Saudi Arabia. He shipped it to a port in Baltimore and then to Saudi Arabia. I was sure it was a scam and took every precaution available, but it was legit. The duties some of these countries charge makes individual imports like this economically feasible. There are a couple ticos here on the X6 side you may want to talk to for help.

I have sold a few cars overseas as well. This one just didn't make sense.

This winning bidder did not send the deposit in 48 hours as stated in the auction.

He also wanted to pay with money orders and wanted me to help pay for shipping to Texas.

I decided to trust my gut and walk away...

If you have a friend at the dealership, best you could probably do it a grand over what they paid for it. At that point, they'd break even essentially.
