Front windscreen of X5 E70 and laser detector?

Hi,

I cannot find out where on the frond screen of my car I can put a LASER DETECTOR.
I have a Passport 9500i and in my old car it worked great but now it is not working so good.

Is there any special place to put it so it will work ok? Because this car has some special coating on glass does anybody know something about this?

You will probably have to get a remote mount unit to put behind the grill as the windshield sounds like it is reflecting the return signals on you, not much else you can probably do as the whole windshield has the coating.
