BMWhat
Hey All,
I bought a BMWhat OBDII communicator and the app for my iphone and have used it to code my 2010 X5D. I have removed the iDrive disclaimer, changed the drls, halos, and windows to my liking and have the digital speedo. The thing also resets my service intervals more reliably than I can using the car's reset feature upon startup - for whatever reason, I can never get that to work. The BMWhat works every time and is very useful to me. I signed up for a beta tester program and for that I'm supposed to recruit more people to use/buy the system. If you're considering one of these things, I recommend it. It doesn't have all of the versatility of the ebay dongle, coding thing but it does a lot and there's less chance of messing things up. I'd be happy to use mine to code your car if you want to see it for yourself - no charge. I'm in Alexandria, VA. If you do want to buy one, my code will save you a couple of bucks. LRD4E4 This code can be entered on www.ivini-tech.de/en directly in the shopping cart, when somebody makes an order for adapters, 5€ will be deducted from the shopping cart value right away. |

Had SIB 13 06 15 done to my 12 X5 35d to fix the emissions readiness monitors from never setting / taking way to long to set. And I can no longer code my FRM module. No more 5 flash turn signals or fog lights with high beams.... Till Carly for BMW updates the app, everything else still codes fine.

They recommend Amazon but they don't carry that BMW unit just yet, they say it should be available some time next week...

I'm not sure but it's not working for some reason, I can't seem to get it to connect...might be for android
my V-Link worked on every option and was able to code lots of things but won't allow me to code bottom 4 functions...frm, cic, etc. I may have to try and order another 1 or just bring it to my friend to get coded |

For iPhone, it's an additional $15 for the iDrive coding in Carly apps. After that, it's easy to remove the disclaimer within the iDrive menu, as well as enable DVD functionality.

I ordered 3 days ago and got mine today.. my issue is the same with this bluetooth obd connector as it was with every other cable and connector I have... it connects and verifies that I'm hooked up but then when I click on code or diagnostics it tells me to connect to the car (which I just was) but now it says not connected, so I go back to home and reconnect, then the same thing.. over and over.. I'm using Android V 4.4.x and the new generation II obd connector.. what's the dealio?
