Congrats on the headlights! My most favorite mod after wheels and lowering. Really sets the truck off.

It was in fact the FRM3 module that needed to be replaced with the newer one with the orange dot on the package and re coded with autologic. I new doing this retrofit was going to be a PIA but at the end of the day I'm glad it's finally resolved

I'm glad u finally solved this issue, once I'll get to the point of doing this myself I will be looking for u advice! I will probably start by sourcing parts starting with retrofit cable (from euro source), let me know if u can recommend good source for other parts, like LEDs, modules etc., I checked getbmwparts recently and I see the price for OEM new LEDs recently went up twice from 1200 to 2400 not even sure why... |

From some of my notes I have following parts that needed for retrofit: 61122312375 - LED headlights retrofit harness 63117359371 - Left LED headlight 63117359372 - Right LED headlight 63117307528 - LED main light module (2 qty) 61359308375 - Footwell module 3 Not totally sure I need below... 63117182521 - Bulb socket, turn indicator (2 qty) 63217161306 - Bulb silver PSY 12V 24W SV (2 qty) 63117311079 - Headlight bracket (2 qty) 63117182396 - Control unit, cornering light with cover Is it still correct? Also I recall reading something about headlight washers not being the same or something along those lines, do u have any input on this? Last edited by boneca; 07-08-2016 at 08:53 AM.. |

Gatoferoz25 is selling the LED modules/FRM3 you will need for the retrofit for a lot less than others are selling them for...he may also have another set of LED headlights laying around. Everything you will need for the LED headlight retrofit: -63117359371 - Left LED headlight -63117359372 - Right LED headlight -63117307528 - LED main light module -63117182396 - Control unit, cornering light with cover -61359308375 - Footwell module 3(FRM3) MUST have the orange dot on the package I didn't bother changing the headlight washers but thats up to you to decide...worst case scenario if you don't replace them you will get windshield washer fluid all over your hood each time you wash your windshield

I assume I need 2 light modules, do I need 2 control units with cornering lights? Yes I heard the same thing about windshield washers, I rather have right ones, not cool to spray hood too often so I guess all set in done will be in 5k area can't imagine why original owner didn't opt for this for $1900 it could be that my car is early 4/2012 build marked as 2013 model, or maybe he just didn't want them! u spent 100k on the car and don't have all the options, why? Thanks again! |

I say do full exhaust or brembos first before headlights. Or maybe some velos wheels perhaps...

Headlight Part #: 63117359365; 63117359366 the ones in my list are: Headlight Part #: 63117359371; 63117359372 could it be because it's assembled? I'm not sure, I'll try to contact them and see I know for sure that my car build is 4/2012 (2013 model) I can't find if LEDs were offered at that build date, not that it matters anyway! |

The beast has passed emissions and has also been re-coded... only thing left to do is reinstall the front lip and gloss black hood/trunk roundels
Was anyone here involved in that nightmare rollout to Mpact this past weekend that involved over 70 guys getting pulled over and getting insane amounts of tickets!

Just picked up the beast, it's 99% finished. I'm still waiting for the betalink tape to arrive so I can re-install the Vorsteiner front lip...New LED headlights are in, they look and work perfect New gloss black hood and trunk roundels from IND were installed, finally no more chrome
H&R 1.2'' lowering springs and links were installed, my buddy dialed them in perfect! the truck rides better now than it did with the OE springs...this was something I was worried about after reading all the horror stories from other members about the bouncy ride after installing H&R I also had to have the AC recharged, for some reason it was blowing ice cold last summer and started blowing warm air out of nowhere had the dealer check the system and found no issues other then it needed to be refilled I gave the truck a quick wash and a coat of wax after driving through a wall of bugs on the highway
