Looking to Buy 2011 Plus X5 35i or 35d
Hey guys, I am looking to pick up a 2011 or newer X5 35i or 35d. Looking for something with the Sport Package and fairly heavily optioned. 3rd row would be a plus. Lower miles if possible or mint condition. I am open to modded vehicles. Really would love a Platinum Gray car.

You see any of these? All from the BMWUSA.com CPO page (not all are CPO).
Platinum Gray is a great color, unfortunately not too common. 2013 35i w/ CPO/50K miles/Platinum Gray/Black/Walnut/$32K - Topeka KS -Sport Pkg with 19's (20's optional) -Convenience Pkg -Cold Weather Pkg -Soft Close Doors -Premium Sound -Aluminum running boards http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35i w/ CPO/33K miles/Platinum Gray/Beige/Bamboo/$36K - Fairfax VA -Sport Pkg with 19's -Convenience Pkg -Cold Weather Pkg -Active Seat Package (comfort seats + ventilation, + massaging feature on driver's seat only) -Soft Close Doors http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35i w/ CPO/25K miles/Platinum Gray/Black/Walnut/$41K - NYC -Sport Pkg with 19's -Convenience Pkg -Cold Weather Pkg -Comfort Seats -Premium Sound Package http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35d non-CPO/43K miles/Platinum Gray/Cinnamon/Walnut/no price listed - San Diego -Sport Pkg with 19's -Convenience Pkg http://cpo.bmwusa.com/used/BMW/2013-...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35d non-CPO/53K miles/Platinum Gray/Black/Bamboo/no price listed - San Diego -Sport Pkg with 19's -Convenience Pkg -3rd row -Premium Sound Package -Aluminum running boards http://cpo.bmwusa.com/used/BMW/2013-...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35d non-CPO/48K miles/Platinum Gray/Black/Bamboo/$30K - College Station TX -Sport Pkg with 20's -Convenience Pkg -Comfort Seats -Premium Sound Package -HUD -Aluminum running boards -Rear seat DVD player http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35d w/ CPO/41K miles/Platinum Gray/Black/Walnut/$36K - Pennsylvania -Sport Pkg with 20's -Convenience Pkg -Cold Weather Package -Premium Sound Package -Technology Package -Space saver tire http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=98028 2013 35d w/ CPO/30K miles/Platinum Gray/Oyster/Bamboo/$37K - Connecticut -Sport Pkg with 20's -Convenience Pkg -Comfort Seats -Premium Sound Package http://cpo.bmwusa.com/certified/BMW/...m?geoZip=98028 |

Obviously those are all very nice cars. One of them was $40k!! Those are all top dollar or listed above book value. I have a way of changing cars often, and most of those would have me upside down in a matter of a couple of years. From what I see, book value on these is $25-30k right now. I went through this with a seller earlier today. Banks value cars at retail out-the-door pricing. I have the money to afford the car, and even pay a premium for the right car. I just know when it comes to selling the car, I want the next buyers to be able to easily finance the car, which will make it much easier to sell.
If I am going to spend $35-40k, I would either buy a X5M, or a newer 35d with the 8 speed trans. Last edited by Googone20; 03-24-2017 at 06:17 PM.. |

Right, BMW dealer priced, but most have CPO so you know those are a safe bet and are well sorted/ready to go.
There's quite a few on AT but many at obscure car dealerships (auction cars!). Good luck w/ the search. |

What's the consensus around here between the 35d vs. the 35i? Obviously the biggest issue I see is that the 35d still has the old 6 speed ZF, wehere the 35i got the 8 speed ZF. After having the 8 speed ZF in my 328d Msport, I can tell you it's the best automatic trans on the market. Very crisp and quick shifts, and the car never felt like it didn't know where to shift. I can't say the same for my ATS-V's 8 speed trans. Although the ATS-V is a very fast car, that trans is definitely not a ZF. Lol!! Would love to hear some input from you guys.

I have a 13 X5 xdrive35i m sport.. 33k miles and still under factory warranty until August. So you can get extended warranty on it if you choose to do so. My listing is in this FS section. It was 1 owner and is stock ready to rock. I'd take 30k for it. PM for my cell if interested
