Question Canadian X6 pricing & invoice

Hi all.

I do not personally own a BMW X6, but I have been lurking in this forum for a very long time due to my love for it. I fell in love with X6 the very first time I saw it at the dealer (I believe it was in 2007 just when it came out?). Recently, I have visited the dealers many times for test drives & inquire price.

I understand that in US, there is a free provider for car invoices. So it would be easy for you guys to know their cost and range of negotiation. In Canada, this service is not provided to us free of charge. I believe we have to pay to see the invoice.

Before I really decide to buy the information, I would like to inquire you guys first - what would be the most reasonable price for this spec, based on your experience:

X6 xDrive35i - $65,700
Premium Package - $5,800
Sport Package - $2,500
Premium Sound Package - $1,500
Aluminum Running Board - $800
Freight & stuff - $2,320
Total - $78,620

Please note that this is in Canadian dollars. This is a DEMO car with roughly 4000 or 5000km on it.

Will I be able to get the final price down to less than $70,000 since there should be a demo car discount? Any advise on price negotiation would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all in advance

x6 dealer price

Canadian dealer markup is usually 9 % for a new car. Excluding F&PDI reduce the prices you have by 9% and use that as a starting point so Base 70,000 with all your options. Usually in Canada you will be lucky to pay anything less than 4% markup, so lets use that. New cost base is 72, 800 + PDI.

Depreciation out the door is likely 25% in the first year so

if MY2010 with low KM then you could negotiate down to 68,000 + PDI
IF MY2011 then likely hood is low that you would get below 70,000 + PDI

My dealer has pretty aggressive pricing, so I am not sure if you would get this in Vancouver or not. I hear Jessel is pretty good.

I recently bought an X6M brand new fully loaded. List price 105,400 my price 99,400 (invoice 95400) wheel nuts and winter mats included plus ipod connector (all about an additional 400 dollar value).

Good luck. Hope this helps
