Disassemble the key fob

My key fob has several scratches on it. I am thinking about taking it apart for painting or vinyl.

Does anyone know how to disassemble it so I can at least take out the buttons?

tried asking the dealership / techs?

i have no idea. most keys have a hidden screw or can just be pried apart.
those keys aren't cheap, though, they're built like little computers sometimes so be careful not to break any wires or ribbons.

i hope it's easy to put back together again.

please post your findings!

good luck!

Thanks for the reply.

I have figured it out.

There are three pieces of black plastic covering the buttons (top-middle piece, bottom-middle piece, and the round piece around the middle button). These are glued onto the main body, so you need to pry it open carefully.

By removing these pieces, the buttons can be taken off easily.

I hope these information do become useful to some of you out there, since I wasn't able to find something similar anywhere
