+1 one of my friends who works for a BMW dealreship in NJ told me to wait to order my x6 untill march because thats when the x6 is getting the new iDrive. I told him what we have been hearing about September but he said they got a letter from BMW saying its going to be March. I hope hes right!!!

I was also told by my dealer which is one of the highest volume in nation that it was also confirmed to start with March production but I guess no one will know until after the March production start showing up.

After driving my X6 for about 5 months there is no way I would wait to get one because it didn't have the latest idrive. Other than playlists and map (once in a while) really don't look at it that much. I guess I'm weird bought my X6 to drive it not look at computer screen. From my standpoint if it was really new technology it would be flash drive not hard.

But that's me and to each his own, if it will make you happy go for it!

There are also several rumours discussed in Germany at this time. The new german pricelist, valid after 1st of April, does not show any changes regarding the iDrive system. Lots of clients cancelled their intentions to buy an new X5 or X6 after that.

Maybe BMW brings the new iDrive in March without big announcement. I´ll hope so for BMW.

Actually, the new car sales manager told me today that he had not heard anything about new iDrive going into X6 in March production and he would have definitely heard by now so I am not sure what to think.

My original sales person and one of the other sales managers told me it was going to be in there in March so we will have to wait and see.

The pricelist (starting with March/April) for Austria shows the new iDrive for the X5 and X6. It is the same order text than the new 3series got in September 09 (launch of new iDrive for 3series in Europe). Before, a DVD has to be ordered in Austria for use with iDrive. This option is also no longer available in the new pricelist (X5,X6) for Austria!

So it might happen in March!
