Because for anything involving Individual, they have to order those parts separately and usually that means that your car is not part of the same assembly line like all the other 'regular' cars. You can expect up to an additional month in delivery time!

BMW Individual is a separate division with different suppliers.

Does that mean the car doesn't go down the same assembly line at all?
I figured it went down same line getting basic parts installed then put on another line to have individual color done.

Not 100% sure how that works for the X6. Since my car will be manufactured/assembled in Germany.

They told me that if you order any Individual option or any special order additions to your car, that they have to take the car off the regular assembly line. It sort of makes sense as the assembly line workers do one specific job I guess and anything out of the ordinary would have to be handled differently?!?

This would probably a good question to ask someone that works at the factory
