Just bought the 3.5i

I just bought the 3.5i one a couple of days ago. After driving it for about 400km approx 250 miles I went full on the accelerator a couple of times. Once after heating the car for about 3 minutes. I didn't go faster than 100mph. Is there any chance that I might have damaged something. And also today's Automatic Car Washes, are they okay to use on the X6.

Thanks to whomever answers

Agree with Deda don't think you did any damage but I wouldn't make a habit of it until you get a few more miles/km on it. As for the car wash never had any trouble (we have hard water where I live so easier to take to car wash, they have soft water). oh ya don't forget the pics.

Sorry Mister DC, I couldn't resist pulling ur leg!
On a more serious note, i'd never allow any of my new cars to go thru a car wash, even if it's BMW dealer, unless it is "touchless" where all they use is high pressure. Still u don't know what the soap pH is!
I always tell my MB dealer NOT to wash my MB after servicing, & stripp my $300 Zymol wax job.

Most of the time i use the car wash. Its quick and makes it pretty good.
Why shouldnt i? Never got less money for my cars when i trade them in after 3 years.
But if i did like it and if i had the time i would for shure wash it myself...

Ok, didn't step (holding myself) all the way down on the gas. . .now. at 1,200 km. .Even if the Panzer begs for it. MisterDC, you didn't go over 100 MPH. .I didn't go over 80 MPH yet. Still didn't go out of town with the Panzer.. .for more than 100 miles. But I went over 3,400 RPM in town. .but that doesnt' count isn't it?

I guess the first two washes at the automatic gas station washer doesn't count.

I will go to a manual wash (4 workers/car) from now on.
