Well, unfortunately I can officially confirm that the new iDrive will not be in available starting in March production. BMWNA is buying back my X6 50i and they confirmed to me on the phone that it will not be available until October and my new march production X6 replacement will not have it which most likely means that it will be an 2010 model. if I had to guess, that is probably when the M version will be available as well.

Probably gonna cost a lot more than 80G's. My new '09 X6 50i with alot of options but not everything that is about to be built is $84.5K so I would expect M version to be $90K+

Bye.
At earliest you will not see the M version until September production as a 2010 model and they will have the new Idrive system. Could possibly even be Spring 2010 production according to what I told by a BMWNA rep today. My replacement X6 is scheduled for 9th week which is 1st production cycle in March and it will not have the new Idrive system. Don't care because the current one I have in my '08 is just fine.

It will be on the 2010 models, starting production in october (US made BMW MY is in october, not september).

I got this confirmed by BMW (I work as a SA in Norway).

Best

Is there any word on the horsepower of the X6M version? More is obviously better, I am hoping for the magic of 500 horsepower and at least 525 torque. I am hoping they include the leather dash as standard equipment. The price is also something that will help me determine which way to go, how long I will need to wait to get what I want.

I met Steve Dinan last night at an event at my dealer and he is thinking that the HP will be about 550hp on the new M versions because he is pretty sure that BMW will be replacing the small turbos with larger Garrett Turbos producing a lot more power. He said he already spoke to Garrett and know the part number for the larger Turbos and Dinan Performance will be working on Turbo Upgrade for X6 50i and all models that share the same engine but this most likely won't be out for about a year. He told me that with the Turbo upgrade and software tune HP will be over 600HP! That is what I am talking about! I am all over that unless I trade in my X6 for a 550 once it starts coming with the new engine.
