If it's anything like my e53, you have to pull the entire center console and unscrew it from below.

On my other vehicle (F-150) I used to have ugly wood grain, which I had to remove. So I just took a hair dryer and a fishing line. I heated it up at the edge, and then removed the pieces by putting the line underneath it. And hair dryer makes that glue soft...
After that however I had to remove stains and remains of that 3M with alcohol....

Are wrapping them in something or replacing the cracked wood trim?

I thought for the center console trim you just had to pry off the trim itself?

After looking at the back of the trims im trying to figure out how to remove the silver piece from the wood trim. Any thoughts anyone?

Just planning on wrapping. The cracks are in the urethane of the wood portion so shouldn't affect the strength. I know replacing trim is pretty pricey. Any recommended wrap distributors/brands? I ordered some brushed aluminum off of Amazon but the brushing went vertical instead of horizontal so pretty worthless

The side trim of the center console does not just pop out. You will need to remove the center console trim pieces and rear control cover to get to the screws to remove the trim. It's more of a pain than anything. Not entirely difficult.

When it comes time to reinstall everything be sure to watch my videos as it will save you a bunch of time and hassle getting the cup holder trim back in.
