Replace 2014 X5 Yellow Corona lights to White
Sorry it's an X6 - NOT an X5..
I recently purchased a 2014 X6 35i SAV fully loaded with the M pkg. My regret is that I did not purchase the Full LED lights. I see now what all other X6 owners are complaining about the yellow corona rings. I would like to replace the halo corona lights but worried that replacing it would give fault/error codes. Also, is the installation going to be hard to do? I have read numerous blogs on this site but have not found a blog in reference to the compatibility with a 2014 X6. I have spoken to BMW service department and they were not much help. So I’m hoping if someone can guide/provide feedback with their experience and also to answer my concerns: 1. Finding the right H8 lights to replace my corona rings. 2. Error codes/fault codes – not sure if it would cause problems with auto high beams in the 2014 3. Installation process – how tough would it be. I opened the hood of my car and noticed each light are housed in a 4” round covered opening. Easy access to untwist the cover but noticed if you have big hands, it would be tough to maneuver inside a 4” round opening. See attached pictures. 1st pic with cover. 2nd pic with no cover. Hope to hear from you....thanks for reading my blog. |

Don't waste your time with the Lumen PlaZma LEDs from CarID.
Before those I had the Wieslight's from Turner but one of the LEDs took a shit on me. I'm currently using a Sylvania zenon bulb that are almost as bright as the stock amber's but at least the yellow is gone. My recommendation is to contact OSS Design and send them your headlight assembly's. A few guys from M Flight have that mod and it's worth every penny. Don't waste your time with GP Thunder either and I'm not a huge fan of LUX either. They seem to flicker. |

I just purchased the PIAA Precious White 4800K bulbs. They are from Japan and I bought them on eBay. I am happy with my PIAA Xtreme White 4150K bulbs but want to try these on my wife's 135i.
