Proud New X5 Owner
I spent yesterday morning negotiating a nice deal on a 2011 X5 50i.
Background: I had previously dealt with a center nearly an hour from home for 15+ years. They have recently been acquired by an auto group. I visited the center 12/31 looking at a 2011 50i and was treated quite poorly by the new staff. Only one of the "original" CAs remained. That center is where I purchased my '93 318i and '04 X3 3.0. So fast forward to this week. I was searching inventory at a center that is 20 minutes from home. Found a 2011 50i with 5500 miles @ $59K. I called and made an appointment for Saturday. Wifey and I were greeted nicely by the GM, CA and Internet coordinator whom I made the initial contact. The CA collected a bit of info on us and my X3 trade. We were whisked away to test drive the X5. After about an hour of negotiating, we got a deal at $61500 including tax, tags, and trade. After we agreed, CA told me the vehicle was the auto group owner's demo. I'm stoked, this thing has all I was looking for: Technology, Premium, Prem Sound, Cold Weather, and Rear Climate packages. Placed a deposit, tomorrow I'll need to make some trades on the market to free up the cash. Need to clear my schedule Friday afternoon to take delivery. I'm excited to be part of the X5 owners club! |

Welcome to the X5 club
Just a wild guess, but did you work with Faulkner and is your X Space Grey? I saw it on their website. I've been eyeing one of those white Ms!!! I'm out in Lancaster. Are you a member of Nittany Bimmers?

Today is three weeks and I am loving my X5. I dig the throaty exhaust, very comfortable ride and fit/finish is amazing.
Road trip next weekend from central PA to Rehoboth Beach, DE for the first beach trip of 2011. Can't wait to get her on the open road!
