Picked up 2011 X5 35d today

We picked up our 2011 X5 35d today, what a fantastic ride! So far only drove it about 15 miles but everything about it is great.

After reading the forums, waiting for delivery, I had a few worries..

1) Sound of the diesel engine. It was cold and snowing today, the engine is quieter than I expected and I like the diesel growl at low speed.

2) The interior color. We went for the Tobacco interior sight unseen (Sparkling Bronze exterior), it seemed like a good fit with the color and two messy boys.
The verdict? It's GORGEOUS, exactly what I wanted and a perfect match with the Sparkling Bronze.

26 days from order to delivery, a great experience at BMW of Peabody, MA. Hoping to pick up the next BMW at PCD or Euro Delivery

I'll post pictures later, snow and good pics don't work together.

Congrats! I know it is a long ways away (thankfully), but what is your plan for next winter as far as tire/wheel set-up?

Winter plan is to find the same wheels used (or similar) and put a set of Michelin Alpin winters on them. We have the 3rd row with no spare tire so we have to stick with run flats.

I've lived around New England (and Canada) long enough to know that xDrive or not, you need winter tires.
