Getting a brake like malfunction on right rear. What are my options for LED bulb replacements? And I'm not familiar with coding so if coding has to be done is that something that comes with the lights or have to have done at the dealer? 2011 X5

I don't think you need to code a rear light. Mine went out on my 08 last winter. The problem is the seal. Water and condensation build up in the light and destroy the electrical components.
There is a good DIY on this part on you tube by bmtroubleU. The new seals are about $15.00 at piece a ECS. Depo makes a great after mkt light for considerably less then OEM and they look and perform the exact same. Look on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008ES...586247-9745310" rel="" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.amazon.co...47-9745310</a>" rel="" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://<a href="http...745310</a></a> Biggest thing is to use electrical grease on the bulb ends and plug ins. |
