Removing Air Suspension e70 Help Please

Hello All,

I am new here and would really like to know if anyone has removed their air suspension from a 2007 X5 4.8i with the third row seat. I would really like to lower my car since one of my bags has just gone out. The only thing I am worried about is the error message I will get after I install coil overs. Has anyone been able to turn this off or even disabling the controller for the self leveling. Sorry if there has been a thread about this. Been reading through a lot of threads, but not been able to find a complete answer. Any info will help. thanks in advance.

Replacing my air suspension bag will cost me about 250 and to get a decent coilover set like D2 RS is about 1k. So I rather do this route ifI can clear out the error message.

Hi,

Not sure if you have already resolved your air suspension issue or not; nevertheless below is a link to a DIY writeup by another member, gregg3gs @ xoutpost, on replacing them that shouldn't cost you so much and avoid all the worries about the error codes.

Also these parts could be bought on ebay, your choice!!!

Post back here how you resolved the issue.

Chidi
