N55 Injector Issue!
Hi all!
Needing help with an injector issue I’ve been having. Car was chuffing and stank of fuel so I had the injector replaced. It was explained to me that it wasn’t sealing properly due to movement from the injector, so the seal and bracket were also replaced. The car was running fine until I started hearing a weird noise (no symptoms yet) and it was progressively getting louder as I was driving the car (over a week or two). It could be a few things. Was the decoupling element replaced? Was the teflon seal compressed properly? They are both one time use. If the injector was not installed correctly, you could have had combustion escaping through the injector port causing damage to the head.

Cylinder head needs replacing or you can use the heli-coil style kit to repair the hole. The decoupling element wasn't installed, which in turn ruined the cylinder head.

Because its the only reason that would cause a loose injector. They are press fit into the head.
