Are my comfort access door handles broken?

Hello, new E70 owner here. I bought the car with some non-functioning comfort access door handles.

The front left, front right and rear left are not working. The rear right works fine though.

I get some PGS error codes;
A097
A0B7
A0A7

I assume these 3 codes are for the 3 doors not working?

Not sure of the codes. But very common issue. Especially if the handles are warm to the touch.

The non-working handles are not warm to the touch, nor do they randomly lock and unlock. So I think they are disconnected. I should probably have started by removing the door handles and made sure.

I ordered some replacements comfort access door handles from AliExpress that I will swap in and see if they work. If not I will just live with not having comfort access.

Please post back on whether they work or not. Are they paint matched?

Will let you know.

Sadly they're not painted, so I will need to paint them myself.

So I got my AliExpress comfort access front door handles today, and I can report back that both work!

I removed both the left and right old broken ones from the car. The electrical connector on the left/driver's door was unplugged (meaning it was probably causing battery drain issues for the previous owner). When I tried plugging it in nothing happened, totally dead.

The right door handle was connected though, and also completely dead. I installed the new right door handle and it worked right away. But it unlocks and unlocks even when the door is ajar/open, this cannot be right? It should only lock/unlock when the door is closed, right?

Finally I installed the new AliExpress left door handle and it also works, but this one only lock/unlocks when the door is shut. Which feels right.

I got a second set of door handles (for the rear doors but they look exactly the same) and I get the same issue with the front right door.

The lock/unlock function is available even when the door is ajar/open. On all other doors it only works to lock/unlock when the door is closed.

This seems like it is a problem with another component, like a switch in the door latch mechanism.
