Look at your speedo and see how fast you are going. I had the exact feeling when I first purchased the car. I always felt that it should be faster. After learning how to use the paddles shifters, Manual shifts, and the launch controls, the car was a rocket. The x6m is very sneaky. Its allows you to feel a little bit of acceleration but it lets the guy you just toasted feel it more.
Believe me, you are accelerating very hard. The refinements of the car makes you feel more in control which makes you handle the car better. Its not going slower, its letting you handle more. So go get a flash tune.
My c6 vette feels faster but I can tell you the x6m launch a hell of alot faster.

Dinan flash helps too.

I don't think the M button on the M3 has anything to do with HP (my point on the "I thought only the M5/M6 had this"). So yes, there is an M button on the 1M, some E90/E92/E93 M3s, the X5M/X6M, and the M5/M6, but only in the M5/M6* does it control HP.

*E60/E61 only I believe.

It's a whole different car in Sport shift mode. Too jerky for normal driving, but a beast when you need it. It's fast.. very fast.

Enjoying my 2013 X6M. Unfortunately, I have to wait out the break in period, but as for normal driving, this transmission is dramatically better than the range rover. The jerkiness of the RR does make it seem quicker, but that's all it is. I'd take the smooth fast acceleration of the BMW x6 any day.
