4X4! xDrive Malfunction ?!?

Hi guys. I was driving home today and got the following malfunction show up on the screen:

"4X4! xDrive malfunction. Limited chassis stabilization and traction. Drive moderately. Have the system checked by the nearest BMW center."

Have any of you come across this? The nearest dealer is two hours away.

This happened to my car about a month ago after I took a speed bump at high speed. It has something to do with the car being shaken, and the angle at which I hit the speed bump. The dealer said it shouldn't be a problem and it will correct itself. This was about a month ago and the warning has not popped up again.

there is some kind of software recall on all BMWs it has to do with this malfunction because my x5 had this warning and i turned it off then on again the waring has gone took it to the dealer they did complete reset to the 4x4 programing.

Got the same warning twice. Evidently we were told that the culprit was leaving the vehicle unlocked when it was parked at the house. Seems silly considering i leave the M3 unlocked all the time and never had the same issue.
