Sweet, looks like the X6M (and presumably the X5M) will be getting the gorgeous blue calipers from the M5. This and LED headlights should update the exterior quiet nicely on them both.

I cancelled my 12' X6 order which was about to go into production and ordered a 13'. I got the order print out from the dealer, but there is no pricing on it, nor any LED option. It's just a current order form I suspect with the 2013 written in and a production number.

Production won't start until late April. I'll have to be sure the LEDs are on the order before then.

I'm losing out on about $3,700.00 in incentives from December's order, but I have leased 2 BMWs before when the LCI was right around the corner and missed out. Not this time. Its hardly an update, but the headlights and brake lights alone are enough to justify the wait and expense. Also, the current lease residuals are much higher than they were in December. Let's see if that holds true with the new car. There's usually an unattractive rate for a few months after an LCI in introduced right?

Damn. BMW, if you are going to offer brakes in a color other than black, you really need to give customers options. Blue brakes on red looks awful.

There were plenty of BMW docs that said production would not start on this until August - but apparently, those are not true now?

Hoping that perf upgrade is available as an add-on to existing 2011-2012 cars.

Last but not least count me in with the not a fan of the plastic around the fog lights.

Does anyone know the x6 LCI front light part numbers ?

I'm going to buy them and put on pre LCI X5. I'm already put the whole X5 LCI pack on pre LCI model and it looks super cool, so shouldn't be a big problem I guess.

I'm gathering you mean the exteriors. Its the same except new lights, fog lights and colors.

On a side note, I didn't see anything in the press release regarding the revisions to the V8. The 6 in the M perf. pack gets a power bump from software (which will no doubt be avail. for retrofit from dealers), but I read elsewhere that the 8 was getting valvetronic and maybe even twin scroll turbos (which the present 6 cyl. and M V8 engine already have).

As powerful as the 8 is, its got a decent amount of lag by modern standards.

Hopefully the LCI will address that.

I'm surprised there are no idrive updates? When was the last version of idrive released? 2009?

Something I noticed for retrofit...Although the X6 M50d won't be brought to the US It will offer a heated M sport wheel with no colored stitching. Perfect for me!

Is anyone else starting to like the looks of the X6? I never thought that I would, but I think that I do. It's still not a pretty car, but I think it is starting to look cool.

WTF NOT FAIR!!
Stop buying the stupid cars you will get BMW's attention.
By the way I like to see a diesel X3, and I'd line up and order one. The puny HP bump who needs that? I have an N54 with > 100hp more for less than the extra cash. So If I bought an x35i or an x50i; Which I wouldn't buy since I think the X6 is kind of pointless, But if I did, I would just spring for a tune rather than buy the M package. As for M50d yummy I don't know which BMW owners BMW polls to decide we don't want diesel. Am not buy any X-vehicle unless it has a diesel under hood. Just saying. In the meantime, I will shop other brands. I love Toyota, its very good for what it is at the price its at.

fog light surrounds..?

The LCI's fog light surrounds look a little cheap. Thing is it's the most obvious difference with the update (as the LED headlights will not be on every new X6). It stands to reason that it will probably grown on us.

In the meantime, what do you think of this...?

(I like the clean look of the X6 50d's grilles without fogs, but I do actually use fog lights? - Is there some reason Ms don't have them - cooling requirements?)

Ciao,
DRP
