Is this horrible Repair History (x5d) ?

We picked up the diesel two weeks ago, so far so good, 37k on the clock, warranty till Jul 2015 - I took it in for service and had dealer printout the history... I was shocked to find I have self leveling rear suspension ??? (I hate air shocks, big bucks to repair out of pocket & no adv really over springs) ... what do u guys think about the repair history

All X5's with 3rd row seats have the self levelling suspension (and some w/o the 3rd row have it as well).

I haven't owned my X5 long enough to know about all those repairs you posted, but generally speaking these are sensitive vehicles which will have a fair number of repairs along the way.

Air shocks are not big bucks to repair. You can buy a pair of Arnort air springs for less than $400 with a lifetime warranty, and its a DIY to change them.

Be thankful you have the SLS

Greatest advantage is with towing and/or heavy loads .... it is a "truck" after all. SLS keeps vehicle level (when not leaking) and reduces aerodynamic drag.
