BMW Performance

Just picked these up yesterday. They haven't been installed yet (double sided tape) but I'm tryin to decide if I should just leave them black (it has a textured matte black finish), paint them melbourne red, or wrap in carbon fiber. Anyways, here's what they look like:

i would say keep them black. the contrast looks nice.

But what exactly are they meant for in terms of air flow? or is it just to look nice? And DOES it look nice?

Are those fins for looks or performance? I have never seen side fins like that before.

Don't really know if the fins are supposed to do anything for aerodynamics or performance but I like the way they look - that was my main reason for getting them
