Yea, it doesnt have the crazy power of the 335, but i dont feel myself needing any more than it has, def drive a N20 sportline with sport auto

4.7!!! WHAT?!!! So what does an M3 in the US do? I'm really surprised with the 0-60 times in USA. Why are they so good compared to everywhere else. Here in South Africa, car magazines etc, don't EVER get anywhere near the manufacturer's claimed times (with the recent exception of the m5 test where a 0-62mph time of 4.38s was recorded and the m5 is claimed at 4.4s) and its not just a few of them. ALL of the testers don't match the times... I know that there's many different factors and conditions when comparing the two places and cars, but its still remarkable.

The other guy explained it well...that 4.7 is not from a dead stop, most car mags the car slightly rolling to get those #s. from 0 the car probably takes 5.0-5.1s

I agree. It really depends where you live. I live in probably the second most dense area in the US. I'm lucky if I break 30 mph on a given day. I probably use the brake pedal more than the gas. I've owned ridiculously fast cars before and I always ask myself the same thing. What is the point? For where I live and what I do, the 328i is more engine than I need. In fact I should probably be driving a Leaf,Volt,Prius, but I just can't get myself to get into those hideous appliances.

It's so stupid of them to call it 0-60 then because if it's not dead stop then it's not 0-60 is it? 1/2/3-60?

Can't speak for all car magazines but here are Car and Driver's test procedures:

http://www.caranddriver.com/features...-c-d-test-cars

They do not roll the car. 0-60 is from a dead stop. Same with Inside Line for 0-60 times:

http://www.insideline.com/features/h...nd-trucks.html

Road & Track does a 1 foot roll but they subtract the time for that 1'. Not sure about Motor Trend.

Fantastic review! Now we can have a big party! 328i got great reviews but 335i was set in the backburner by the media - until now. I could care less about 4.7s claim...what I care about is that it is going to be fun to drive and ohhhhhh that engine noise!

I am picking up mine in a few days and going to write a short review

Justinuum1 - are you happy with the mineral grey choice? I have picked the same color for my 335i.

I'm going to pick up mine tomorrow morning , currently(only today) driving a X1 1.8d X Drive. Great chassis and dynamics for a awd suv seriously, but the engine is a bit soft(143BHP) and noisy...(coming from a F10 535i)

Anyway 5.1 seconds 0-100kmh(62mph) is what leading german carmag Auto Motor und Sport got when they tested the 335i AT Sportline.

You better visit the Autobahn when you have your car and record the results on video!

Unless u're doing Autobahn speeds everyday, u'll be fine with the mid-range acceleration.

I see no evidence in this test that they did a one foot roll out.

Other car mag tests that do a roll out usually point that out.

dang that Auto 8 Speed sport tranny shifts fast and smooth. seems like it may be faster than manual now plus MPG are the same and in some cases are now better.

i think we are seeing the slow death of the manual with the recent dual clutch auto trans improvements in the industry. if you can get the smooth consistent shifts of an auto plus the mpg of a manual, its kind of a no brainer. (yes, some people will argue its more fun in a manual) but these are the facts.

Yes, it's "more fun in a manual".

While everyone can drive an automatic, i would like to "stick" to my manual.

it's somehow more rewarding, and thus, i want to put off driving an automatic for as long as i can, delay that until i see no more pleasure out of that manual...

Are my ears deceiving me? I think the new 335 sounds so much better than the old one. More angry, raspy, muscular even.
