Question Best Place To Order Performance Parts?

I have the N55 engine and was wonder where people tend to buy their parts? I live in the near direct middle of the USA. I think I will have to order most online. What are good websites to look for parts?

There are several places...just depends what you are looking for. You can also check out the vendor classifieds in the marketplace section.

ECS Tuning has been my favorite go to. Good prices, fast shipping. They don't have a huge selection on aftermarket performance stuff (amazing selection of OEM and aftermarket maintenance), so otherwise I watch for group buys, used parts, or lots of searching. I'll usually start there.

Prices can vary a lot so it pays to really shop around.

Both suggestions above are excellent. I would add Tisher though - getbmwparts.com. If you want OEM they have the largest selection, but make sure to compare prices with the two listed sbove

I've used ECS Tuning for parts for my 135i and my R53 Mini. Right parts every time, prices are good. Packing and shipping is excellent as well.

ECS is alright for some stuff I'd say. Only problem I have with them is their shipping prices on little stuff sometimes. When I order intake manifold gaskets for my walnut blast jobs, they'll charge like $10 shipping for two sets that cost like $15 each. So essentially they wanna charge 1/3 of the purchase price for something that would fit in an envelope.
