Spotted this nice review today....not sure if it was already posted. Seems overweight and expensive as usual for a hybrid. I agree that the v6 makes more sense from the standpoint of fuel economy and if someone really wants power they should go with the x6m (although I'm not a fan of the M version SUV/crossover).

well i guess some people would want v8 performance without the pisspoor gas mileage. i guess if they wanted to instead of adding batt pack they could add another gas tank so u dont have to fill up every 100 miles

Ummm....xdrive50i gets avg. 16mpg in their long term test and they are getting an avg. of 14mpg with the hybrid ??

well then i have no words. they probably put it with the v8 to justify price maybe. i dont know im just pulling at straws

Yeah it doesn't make sense to me....guess it's a poor attempt at their "efficient dynamics."

I own an X6 and even to me the hybrid version doesn't make any sense, agree 6 cylinder would seem a better choice.
