X5M being built

Decided to pull the plug and get an X5M. I've looked at them numerous times at the dealership. It seems like each time I went for service or to look the X5M just called me over to it. It is suppose to be built the first week of November and I am shooting for a 16th delivery at the performance center.
The hard part is now waiting.

Congrats! U won't regret it. The wait is not bad, it gives u a few weeks to buy all ur mods.

Thanks. I still feel like a kid in a candy store waiting on the next sampling of candy. I know the time will fly by. I think the 8 hour trip home will get me used to the car.

Delivery date is on for the 28th of November. Too many other bookings for earlier in the month.

Got the build number for the X5M. Is there a way to track the build process? I know with Corvette's you can track the status of your car during the build and transport.

I ordered the X5M as:
Carbon Black Metallic paint, Black Perforated Merino Leather interior, leather dash etc, Cold weather package, Driver assistance package, Rear Climate package, Premium sound Package, 300MM style wheels, Comfort access keyless entry, Soft Close Doors, Piano Black trim, Full LED lights, Side VIew Camera, BMW Apps.

nice choice on the options, and yeah you can track it but I'm not sure how my salesman just kept me updated with emails on the progress. Ask your salesman I'm sure he can give you the link to do it

Cool, I'll shoot her an email and see about tracking it. My biggest fear is having a major snow storm on the way back from SC to Indiana. It would be my luck to have something like that happen.

Our local dealer had one with the Full LED lights. They looked good and was one of the must have options.

Two things slow u down, the piano black interior trim, is part of the individual package and picking up the truck at the factory, but u are going to love the quality time u are gonna expend at the factory
Go to bmwusa.com and register, once u create an account put the car u are building and when do you expect to get the car, you need to contact your sales advisor and ask him for the production# or if the car is on 150 or more status then he needs to give you the last seven of the vin#, the coolest thing is that on the computer it even shows the car on the color combo you ordered it, good luck with ur car and enjoy it, i know you will lol

I was already registered on BMWUSA.com so it was easy to put in the production number to track the truck. It shows the order accepted. Next week I should see production started and then on from there.
