Hi guys,

As the title says I am proud to announce I am again the first vendor to bring you another exciting retrofit for your BMW - the 6NR ConnectedDrive.

I am also offering other retrofits for BMW cars including CIC, Combox, 6FL, 6NF, PDC, X6M Instrument cluster for a non-M BMW and more.

This is what BMW says about the 6NR retrofit:
"Note: It will not be possible to retrofit 6NR on vehicles produced prior to 03/11 (04/11 for X models)."

The complete list of features of the 6NR option:
1.BMW Apps:
- Facebook,
- Twitter,
- Web Radio,
- 3rd party BMW Certified Apps.

2.BMW Plugin - "...changes the iDrive screen to the same look and feel as the iPod function on an iPhone.It allows you to take advantage of all the iPod features (Genius, album art, compiling playlists, etc) that are not available via the basic USB connection. With future iPhone software updates, new features will also be available in the car. An additional benefit comes in the way of increased interface speed.", BMW

3.Video Playback - enables video playback from iPhone

The 6NR option requires the following hardware components:
- CIC
- Combox
- 6FL

Depending on your current car specification we can offer you all or just selected components listed above as well as full coding and programming to enable the ConnectedDrive.

UPDATE:
You no longer have to wait for the new base plate and snap-in adapter to use the BMW Plugin and Video Playback!
Our 6NR ConnectedDrive Retrofit kit will let you enjoy all features of the 6NR option through the USB cable!

From now all our customers buying the CIC, Combox and 6FL combo kit will be getting the 6NR free of charge!

The vin is visible to anyone through your windshield - not sure what someone could do with it maliciously.

all i was saying was that on this website you have quite a lot more identifying who you are and sending out more info about you and your car could give more info to who ever would want to use it maliciously. if you don't think its anything then forget about it. i was just looking out.

I live in North Jersey about 5 minutes from NYC. My x5 was built the second week in January of this year, and has the tech package, blue tooth, and all the other features required for the 6NR option. I want to get this done, so if you can get back to me I would appreciate it.

I hope everyone who contacted my last week received my reply , but in case you did not please let me know.
I received so many emails regarding the 6NR last week that might have missed one or two.

As for the VIN, I need it to check the car specification to see you will need to retrofit the 6NR. It depends on the car options what the cost and procedure to retrofit the 6NR will be.

I do not think I could use your VIN for anything else, but if you are worried about me having your VIN please check my reputation on different forums.

Combox + 6NR Retrofitted in an X5 = BT audio, Album art, Office, Internet, BMW Apps...

We are trying to get together a group of at least 5 people for the 6NR ConnectedDrive activation.

The programming can take place in each of the following states (we need at least 5 people for each location):
- Florida - Orlando - contact Nelson (nepl29 at gmail.com) for more details and to sign up
- NY/NJ - Kearny/NJ - contact me for more details and to sign up
- California - contact me for more details and to sign up
- any other place where we can get a least 5 people

Minimum requirements:
- CIC Navigation
- Combox
- 6FL

If you are not sure if you have the above options installed send your VIN to Nelson or me and we will confirm.

After enabling the 6NR you will have the ConnectedDrive menu with BMW Assist, BMW Apps and BMW Plugin.
For BMW Apps you can use the Apple white cable connected to the USB port in the armrest.
However for BMW Plugin and video streaming you will need the new base plate and snap-in adapter (which are not available yet) or you can get our special retrofit kit
to use ALL ConnectedDrive features through the USB port

It will take around 2h for each car to have the ConnectedDrive enabled.
