some help with the purchase
I have been looking at the 2014 x 5 and the price just seems crazy and I cant wait for the used market. I want one now so I figured you guys could help me out what E70 other than x5m has the painted wheel arches and bumper parts not the black plastic? What do you guys recommend for a 6 cylinder gas or diesel? Thanks!!

Any BMW X5 M sport will have painted arches an none of the (In my opinion) horrid plastic bumpers, your best bed it to get a 30SD or 40D depending on your budget, defo get and LCI model, that's is one of my biggest regrets, its worth the extra £1000/£2000 as it will be more appealing to future buyers and if you want to upgrade you'll be looking at a lot of money. Hope this helps

2011-2013 is LCI.
As noted above, the M Sport has the painted wheel arches. The LCI bumpers are painted body colored regardless if it's an M Sport or not, though there are still a few minor black accents on the non-M Sport models, whereas the M Sport has every last exterior body trim piece painted the color of the body. The Pre-LCI (2007-2010) X5's will have black bumpers regardless of the body color. |

You will purchase either a 2011, 2012 or 2013 X5 in order to get the LCI. All those years had the M Sport package available. Note that in the US, you could only get the M Sport on the 35i and 50i. In other words: not the 35d (diesel).
If you get a 2011, you will *not* have the LED coronas in the headlights (unless you have a late build, but that's not highly likely). The 2012 and the 2013s had LED coronas. |
