X5M Wheel spin?
Does anyone ever get wheel spin, I don't even in the rain. I have great new VRED 275 front and 315 rears tires but with 630hp and TQ with the tune I would expect some. did a few launches yesterday with wet roads and not a squeal. The car pulls like a beast almost scared to do it often worrying I will break a tranny or rear end ect. As my buddy said yesterday, this thing is like a ride at six flags.

Disable DSC for cool four-wheel burnouts!
But that's about it.... no doughnuts or fishtails with this beast.

Stage 2 tunes don't even make 600 at the flywheel (most around 580); how would downpipes add another 100+?

this power number completely depends on how you are calculating it, however, most stage 2 tunes are rated at more than 600, usually 620 -640, unless you have a Dinan tune. With a catless downpipe and exhaust, the car can gain another 25-35whp, not sure if it's at 700, but I would reasonably believe 670+
as for wheel spin, it has never happened to me when accelerating in dry conditions, and I have catless+full exhaust |

Let's explore... First, we have the graph, which is nearly identical to the advertised tune by AA. The difference being SAE vs STD correction. AA - Velos - So let's look at the gains, including the ones advertised. We'll look at AA's graph in a spreadsheet: [url=https://flic.kr/p/8S3EPK AAX6mSWLog[/url] by Active Autowerke, on Flickr We'll focus on WHP. Stock, it shows a PEAK WHP of 454. With the tune it shows a PEAK WHP of 473. The key word here is PEAK, as in the amount gained at the highest HP rating. The gain of 86 WHP is NOT PEAK gains; it is in the mid range. Your actual PEAK gains are ~19 WHP. Now let's convert that to HP at the flywheel. If 454 WHP is stock and the S63 engine is rated at ~555 HP, that gives us a ~18% drivetrain loss. Let's take our WHP rating after the tune and apply that 18% drivetrain loss; we get 578 HP. Same applies to the Velos tune. Where did you come up with 700!? Downpipes and a stage 2+ tune do not make over 120 HP.

Rated M Roadster hence why I said depends on how it's calculated, the way you are doing it is proper, however, most of these tunes are advertised at 620-640HP. In terms of how accurate this is, it's very hard to tell. But at the same time, BMW have been known to underrate the engine output from the factory, and the stock 555HP isn't necessarily accurate either. I think we should settle for the advertised power output to operate on a equal/reasonable basis, as for accuracy of power rating, it will change depending on the exact car, the configuration, the location, the weather, and many more

OP with Traction control turned all the way off and using launch control it is easily possible to to break traction at all 4 wheels. My friend is able to do it on his bone stock x5m with LC, and with the power I'm making it happens on cooler nights quite a bit. Most of the time it hooks pretty well with minimal wheel spin though
