2011 LCI X5 Plasti dip. New owner

Hello All.. Recently bought a Deep Blue Sea 2011 X5 with 41000 miles with a bunch of options(New owner intro thread: http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...php?p=17254504). I went ahead and plasti dipped the wheels (Antharcite Grey color). I also plasti dipped X5 logo, Reflectors and bumper covers to black color. I am loving the look and it looks even better in person. let me know what you think.

Photos below. I added Before, Prep and After pics for your viewing pleasure

I like how the wheel color matched the running boards prior to you dipping them, but they're still better than coloring them black.

Not a huge fan of the front reflectors….for just $85 you could get a set of body colored front reflectors -

Its Antharcite Grey Metallic. This is not available at Home Depot.

Looks great, I used the same color on mine. But I did mine off the car. Holds up well, made it thru a few car washes better then I expected. Going to see how the dealer does with a tire change, not expected much though.

Awesome colour choice! Your e70 has got very clean looking colours, loving it. BTW, any close-up pics on the wheels? Would like to see the surface of the finishing if possible.

Cheers

Great job, nice color choice, good contrast with exterior color of the car! Not big fan of reflectors (I would match car's color for cleaner look) wheels and badge looks good (can't see on the wheels but badge seems little rough on finish, did u do it when it was cold out? I had the same effect based on temperature, first layer was great and then it became too cold, I'm planning to redo mine in the spring.

Thanks

I did it in a garage so it was not very cold. Low 60s may be. Its smooth actually. Went with painting reflectors only because my car color is dark. I might just put on factory color reflectors after some time.
