X5M Brake Replacement
What are you all doing for brake replacements? I'm looking ahead at rotors and pads now... Not looking to go BBK but I would love to do a good slotted rotor with a solid pad setup. So far not so good on the search front.

The only aftermarket brake pad that I've found for the front that I would recommend is the porterfield R4S pad. PN AP1429. Better braking and less dust/noise. Limited options over all. |

I think centric makes some OE replacement rotors and pads, or at least one of the centric affliates... Price out centric over BMW OE, and it's very affordable.
But given the choice of centric pads or porterfield R4S's, I'd take R4S's anyday. They worked superb on a track day with a 3500lbs vehicle. They'd do well on an X5 as a daily driver pad. |
