On the road tire repair kit?
What do you guys suggest for a tire repair kit for on the road? I just bought tires that aren't run flats and I'd like to be able to fix my own tire when on the road if something were to happen. I'd appreciate some suggestions, thank you.

Is it safe to say this is the best value kit? It's also the best price I could find.

I carry a Viair 70P Heavy Duty Portable Compressor. I use it to top off my tires when they need it, too. Its pretty nice.

I have something like in the last link. Isn't the slime stuff particularly for road bikes and not cars? I only read reviews about people using it on their bicycles.

I replaced my runflats and rims on my '08 335. I did exactly what you are thinking about. I got the M kit and keep it in my trunk. Fortunately, I have not had to use it. I guess another option would be to get the space saver spare offered with the 2012 X6 for $150.

Slime can be used on cars and trucks as well as for bikes. They make big cans in the 20oz - 24oz for the tires on SUVs. Its even suppose to be safe to use with the TPMS. If you do have to use it, let your tire guys know. I hear it makes a mess.
The spare cost over twice as much if you don't order it when you order your truck. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 |
