Question regarding the X6 production
I hope everyone is doing great, especially those of you who are waiting for their X6s . Well my X6 was supposed to be ready for delivery in March but fortunately it is in production now, my dealer told me it entered the paint shop as of last Wednesday. Do you guys know how long does it take from the paint shop point to the delivery point ? am really excited !!
Will post pictures as soon as I get it Thank you |

I am guessing less than 4 weeks - probably 2 weeks based on your VA location; production only takes 3-4 days I think; so, your X6 is probably finished or will be today/Monday
This is based on my recent 2010 X5 35d experience, which only took me about two-three weeks from start of production to delivery and I am in Texas. Good luck. |

i ordered X6 5.0 in december 26th, and i got my production number in 3 hours. But that doesnt help really, is BMWNA really suck, on they website there is no update at all. Even if you`ll call to BMWNA main office - same story |

I had an order in for my X6M in September, after waiting for the dealer to release an allotment to me. I then waited forever to get a Production Number. It took some complaining, before the Sales Adviser sent my email to BMWNA, and I finally received my number on November 11th. At that point I was told it was to be built in week 49, or the 1st week of December. I took delivery of my new ride with an expedited movement from the train dock to the dealer, on December 24th. I told them I had to take delivery before the end of the year, and they managed to just make it, with about 1 week to spare. I was actually surprised, because I thought I would get it the week after Christmas. I ended up having one of the best Christmas' ever!!!

Finally got a production number after 3-1/2 weeks today along with the lovely news that BMW has required me to add the HUD/Camera package for another $1,800. That is not a requirement on "Build Your Own".
