Would ya'll recommend getting a powertrain warranty on a 2013 x5 within 30k miles for 4k extra to cover 4 years and 40,000k miles?

I bought an XDrive35i and am not sure if it is worth it to cover it until 70k miles for that kind of warranty...since it excludes electronics, tires, or other issues that might be more likely to go wrong. Has anyone actually had powertrain issues within 70k miles of owning theirs? Any advice is helpful. Thanks guys!

Power train includes the whole engine minus hoses and plugs correct? You will probably need valve cover gasket, water pump, and thermostat....maybe a vanos repair. Like $400-600 in parts if you can DIY or if not then $4k would probably be worth it. Most of this stuff fails between 75-100k miles though so you may pay for nothing.
