Have an awesome, loaded, low mileage X5M that I love it yet I might or might not buy it again.
Pros: Style, options, power and those damn flared fenders Cons: Too small for our needs... so why i don't I sell her then....problem is, what's out there that has what this does but bit bigger. |

So, have had my 2011 X5M now for 10 months and put 8K miles on it. FYI, I bought it and it has had multiple repairs done to it before I took ownership: I.E. replaced transmission, turbochargers, front thrust rod bushings, vacuum lines etc. plus all the recalls. It has been an absolute blast driving it and not one CEL (knock on wood), although I do have an aftermarket warranty for it, given it's notoriety for being prone to the issues documented in the forums. No doubt I would buy it again as it combines luxury, power, and fun that is perfect for me as a daily driver, not to mention the best vehicle sound system I've had, better than the GTR's Bose and Lexus's Mark Levinson systems.

Yes I would.
I am driving a loaner 2020 X5 40i and it is awesome. Acceleration is as good as a V8 and the twin LCD screens are awesome with great info. Maps are very vivid on the 10 ' LCD. |

Would I buy my house again? No, probably the one a few lots over though.
Would I marry my wife again? Absolutely Would I buy my E92 (328i) again? Yes, but with RWD, not AWD Would I buy my E70 (35i) again? Yes, but next time I'd add to the special order: blind spot monitors and HUD. Bought my 2013 new and just passed 50k miles. I haven't had a warranty on it since 2017. Just had the battery replaced last month and because the brakes were getting close I had them done in January. I've had no surprise incidents (lights, alerts, codes) and except for the brake replacement, had all service work done at the local dealership. |

A bit over 2 years, and around 90k miles driven on my X5 since my last post in this thread- my X5d is about to turn over 290k miles, and I still have no regrets! I've retrofitted a heated sport wheel and saddle comfort seats, and am currently ordering parts to finally do my diff swap to 3.15, and a full suspension and driveline mount/ bushing/ arm refresh. It doesnt drive poorly, but the steering has gained a bit of slop that I'm dying to diagnose, and it's going to feel like a completely brand new car after I'm done with it. It's done around 25k miles of max rated weight towing in my ownership, and really still keeps chugging along. Can't wait to see 300k and beyond.
