X6 35i consumption question

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and have searched unsuccessfully for the info I need. I'm looking at a couple of second hand X6's and the only ones kind of in the budget range are the 35i.

Can anyone please give me the real world consumption figures for the 35i, primarily around town.

Many thanks,
Stephen

schuffo,
swapped my diesel last year for a week with the 35i.
Depends how you drive, probably around 13-15lt/100km around town. 9/100 on the open road.
Use sport or manual for pickup, sluggish in Drive.

In urban Vancouver, Canada. 92 octane, chevron/Texaco, 17mpg (Imperial, not US) 30% spirited i.e. paddle shifting, 70 % in D, go w/the flow or slightly ahead of the maddening crowd.
If mileage is important wait till u get the diesel, like they have in europe, 35d. Or wait longer for 40d engine version, both w/ better mileage & more torque, just slightly slower off the line.

14.1-14.8 Litres/100Kms for me, mostly city driving.
If you're worried about fuel consumption, don't get this baby.
I can almost see the gas dial moving down as I accelerate.

Burn Less Oil

Let's face it. With the spill in the gulf, cars with higher mileage has to be the choice. BMW will soon be losing market share to MB /Audi/ porsche if they keep x6 diesels available in europe only.

Mine is 16l/100km and I am using 98 octane and combine city and highway driving. My stock exhaust valve removed so I understand it will use more petrol due to that.
