Horn won't stop!!

I posted in the X6M forum, but thought I would get a faster response here. So I get home today, park the car in the garage and 5 minutes later the horn starts to go off!! Won't stop. So I pulled the airbag off the steering wheel and it stopped. Any ideas what may cause this? Pinched wire or loose connection? Just strange. I haven't put back together for fear it will go off and wake everyone up.

have you swapped steering wheel or paddle shifter? you can disconnet battery negative terminal and check those connection behind the airbag. I messed up once when I install new steering wheel: Upshift become my horn, made me me so upset, so I took everything apart and reconnect them, problem fixed.

I think a loose wire. I popped the airbag out and made sure the connections were tight. I was messing around the day before installing the extended paddle shifters and may have inadvertently disturbed a wire. Fingers crossed it stays fixed.

that must be the reason, even the route of wire inside steering wheel housing matters, have to follow original route
