What have you done with your X5 today?
So I got this idea from over the M3 forums from when I had my M3. Thought we could do it here as well as it was quite an interesting thread with tons of information.
So essentially the idea is to write whatever you did with you X5's/X6's today? Could be anything like car wash, part purchase, part install, polish, cleaning, spirited drive etc. I hope you guys get the idea. Let's see if we can make this one as successful as the M3 one. I will start, technically I did this yesterday but close enough; installed the colour matched parts that I purchased from a fellow member on my X5M and also installed the M Performance kidney grille in gloss black! Finally, I scheduled my truck for an appointment to have Compustar 2 Channel dash cam and Escort 9500ix installed next week. |

I bought front and rear calipers off an X5M that I will be installing on my X5 after I get them painted and such. Just got done blasting them.
Then on to the wheels and wide flares and skirts. Top it off with a slight lowering and OEM aero kit and I'll be sound as a pound. Though that will be in the days coming. |

Washed, interior detail (minus leather treatment), clay bar, and masked for wax, which I'll do in the morning. This rig is time consuming to detail....my 3 series is so much quicker to detail.

Painted my calipers today for my X5 brake upgrade.
Shitty thing is, I tried to put the darn vinyl sticker on while it was on the wire dangling in the paint booth and got the letters slightly off, may not be a big deal when their on the car but man pissed me off as their was nothing I could do once their one their on. The new rotors should be in shortly ! |

Thanks guys! I'm starting to think when it's all put together your not going to notice that the words are slightly askew!
Last time I try and put wording on the calipers while their dangling in the air! |

Got my front and rear dash cam installed yesterday. Looks good, but the car is showing excessive battery drainage sign after it's parked for a while. After the vehicle is driven for a bit it goes away.
Will be going back to have them see if anything can be done about it. Also got my escort 9500ix hardwired at the same time. Was sick of squiggly cord in the middle lol. |

http://www.autotemp.org/uploads/pdf/...as1_proof3.pdf My local shop had an awesome pricing on it so couldn't say no. If not this one, I would have gone with a Blackvue 2 channel. But apparently this one is just as good if not better than Blackvue's. |
