BMW X5 E70 Night Vision not working?

Got a '13 X5 E70 with Techonology and Executive Package and realised that there is some sort of dashcam looking thing mounting on the back of the rearview mirror. Problem is, I can't get it to work. All my other cameras work (backup, front sides, under-mirror). Please shed some insight on this as I would really like to use all the cars capabilities . There has to be a way for it to work as the camera is built there.

What is that button on the far right under your radio controls? My buttons stop after the rear hatch button...

I've seen one at the BMW Dealership when I was in to get something but it has a built in button for Night Vision near the high beam area, it's also 2013 but the trim is M-Sport so it has the oval looking exhaust.
